The Westwood Patriot girls basketball team quickly rebounded from a five-point loss at Menominee, trouncing Manistique 72-21 on Thursday.
Westwood scored the first 16 points of the game and after Manistique’s first field goal at the 3:52 mark in the opening quarter, the Patriots went on to score the next 16 points. Westwood led 25-2 after one quarter, 49-12 at halftime and 59-19 after three.
Ellie Miller and Mallory Leece each scored 13 points, Madelyn Koski finished with 12 and Natalie Prophet added 11 to lead four Patriots in double figures. Westwood heads into the break at 3-1 and returns to action January 3rd at Hancock.
